Nucleate Boiling Heat Transfer in Tight-Lattice Rod Bundles

报告简介:

To allow higher fuel conversion ratio and to improve the overall fuel cycle economy, tight-lattice rod bundles are under development for light water reactors. In such rod bundles, where pitch-to-diameter (P/D) ratio is significantly less than 1.2, the thermal-hydraulic phenomena differ from those encountered in the conventional rod bundles. In particular, narrow gap flow behavior can influence the critical power due to local deterioration of cooling. Thus, an accurate prediction of the critical power requires development and validation of new correlations and computational models that properly describe the thermal-hydraulic phenomena in narrow gaps. In this lecture, the main research topics related to the thermal-hydraulic performance of tight-lattice bundle are presented and discussed.

报告人简介:

Henryk Anglart,美国纽约伦斯勒理工学院博士毕业,瑞典斯德哥尔摩瑞典皇家理工学院反应堆技术部主任,教授,工程科学院物理部副主任,深圳大学访问教授。主要从事第四代超临界反应堆超临界水流动传热、钠流体流动传热及燃料组件棒束通道内两相流动和相关CFD计算分析等研究。先后主持瑞典超临界水流动传热项目、钠堆开发项目、两相流流型研究及复杂通道内两相流分布的CFD模拟计算等项目,尤其在水冷堆两相研究成果丰富。
