报告摘要:

In this presentation, I  will firstly introduce the background of waveguide quantum  electrodynamics (QED) and its applications. Secondly, I will introduce  the analytical expression of the n th-order equal-time  correlation functions. Based on the analytic solution, I mainly  introduce the perfect photon blockade (PB) effect induced by the chiral  interaction in waveguide-cavity QED system. Specifically, the  destructive interference of two-photon paths only appears in the chiral  region. We find that the perfect PB points rise as the number of  cavities increases, and the required chirality also decreases  exponentially. Lastly, I will introduce our recent work regarding the  exotic long-range interaction and the associating quantum many-body  phases in topological waveguide QED system. We theoretically predict a  kind of power-law-exponential (PLE) dipole-dipole interaction between  quantum emitters. Applying PLE interaction to a spin model, we find that  PLE interaction can induce the unique ordered and critical spiral  phases in comparison with other types of interaction, owing to the  strong frustration of PLE interaction. Our works is of fundamental  interest in interest in enriching the waveguide QED system by  introducing the chiral and the exotic long-range interaction, and has  potential applications in the on-chip single-photon source with  integrability and quantum simulation of strong correlated matters.

吕新友,华中科技大学物理学院教授,博士生导师,国家自然科学基金“杰出青年基金”、“优秀青年基金”和湖北省“百人计划”获得者。主要从事腔量子电动力学(QED)和腔光力学等方面的理论研究。
